We have an immedidate opeining for a Warehouse Logistics Coordinator in our Mesa, AZ facility.  In this role you will coordinate the production activities in the Shipping and Crating department to ensure product is manufactured to the highest quality and cosmetic standards and with a high level of efficiency. This role will act as the team lead providing training and support to all members of the team addressing inspecting finish products for quality standards while ensuring all tools / equipment are properly maintained. Making sure crates are produced in order to meet customer On Time Delivery requirements.

 

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Review production and create schedule in order to maintain customer ship dates. Check and verify piece, carton and weight counts to the bill of ladings, packing and pick slips. Maintain all quality standards while meeting standard crate build times per capacity plan.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure full compliance of all manufacturing standards and customer specifications. Check and verify cosmetic and dimensional tolerances are true and accurate. Capable of problem solving while addressing all non-conformance issues.
  • Receive, pack and ship materials. Select, pick and move materials to designated areas. Verify, sort, weigh, count, and prepare materials for shipment or processing.
  • Notify direct supervisor of any issues effecting safety, equipment, efficiency, product quality, or on-time deliveries. Perform and train employees to inspect, and perform preventative maintenance (PM`s) on tools and equipment to ensure they are dependable, reliable and in safe working condition.
  • Oversee and monitor inventory levels of all consumable materials, equipment, and tools used in the shipping, receiving and crating department. Notify management of any outstanding issues.
  • Prepare shipments with special requirements as needed, such as export markings, cubic dimensions, and other specialized requests. Must have or be able to obtain forklift license.
  • Lead and drive positive working relationships within the team and by communicating with other departments as needed to support the production plan and schedule. Initiate cross training opportunities with other departments when possible.
  • Identify and recommend safety, quality, productivity, and cost saving initiatives through department team meetings, engineering, and production manager.
  • Provide engineering and quality teams with feedback in the design of shipping products to develop "Design for Manufacturing" processes and procedures for crating and shipping

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, drawing, print or diagram format.
  • Capable of reading, understanding and interpreting shop drawings and blueprints
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • General computer skills.
  • Proficient at using a variety of hand tools, solid surface manufacturing equipment and related materials.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Ability to assist management in creating / managing department production schedules.
  • Can positively influence and motivate other team members. Be a team leader.
  • Experience in collaborating with various departments and employees at all levels within the organization.
