The Material Analyst II is based in our Mesa, AZ facility. In this roll you will take the lead on ensuring materials are set up, PPAAP approved, and received on time for a new product line. This position will be responsible for the planning and procurement of materials, setting up PFEP, Kanbans, inventory levels, and inventory accuracy. The Material Analyst II will also be responsible for developing and enforcing standard work for implementing and sustaining Kanbans along with leading and facilitating Pull/Kanban Kaizen events. In addition, the Material Analyst II will be responsible to review requisitions and release purchase orders to various suppliers, along with work exception reports to manage inventory and increase our Order to Cash metrics. Analyze sales and usage on items stocked to ensure the appropriate SKU’s and quantity are available.

What you will do:

  • Manage material responsibilities for ER and NPD initiatives
  • Analyze data for planning and release, shortage resolution, ordering and inventory analysis.
  • Prepare purchasing requisition, generate Purchase Orders; work with supplier to ensure parts are delivered on time to  Purchase Order schedules
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles of 6S, KANBAN, PFEP,and continuous improvement via Kaizen events and  independent activities
  • Set up and change SAP operations master data
  • Monitor inventory level to avoid excess inventory, inventory shortages and or inventory inaccuracies
  • Provide delivery date commitments on work in process and finished goods products to Supervisors, Director of  Materials, and Customer Service
  • Execute decisions as an outcome from the Sales and Operations Planning Meetings

 

What we are looking for:

  • 2+ Years Materials Experience
  • Advanced level experience working with Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrates clear, professional, and respectful verbal and written communication in all interactions, consistent with an inclusive work environment
  • Enjoys working in a team environment
  • Organizational skills with ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines
  • Project lead or management experience
  • Ability to work independently

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Logistics  (APICS, ISM)
  • Advanced level experience working with SAP ERP Business System
  • Lean Manufacturing and Kanban experience
