About the role:
Sloan's Transportation Analyst is responsible for supporting transportation planning, operational activities, carrier management, and compliance activities to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods. In this role you will also analyze transportation operations, freight spend, carrier performance, and logistics data to identify opportunities for cost savings, service improvements, and operational efficiency
What you will do:
- Manage the transportation claims process. Investigate and collect required paperwork to initiate claims.
- Evaluate and resolve ad-hoc domestic and international transportation issues.
- Analyze transportation data, freight costs, and shipment trends to identify cost-saving opportunities, operational inefficiencies, and transportation strategy improvements.
- Manage daily spot quoting and load tendering processes to meet company standards.
- Analyze carrier performance trends and develop recommendations to improve service, capacity utilization, and overall carrier effectiveness.
- Analyze freight audit and payment activity to identify recurring discrepancies, cost trends, process deficiencies, and opportunities to improve freight payment accuracy and controls.
- Support carrier sourcing events, contract negotiations, and bid analysis.
- Analyze shipment and delivery trends to identify recurring service issues, delays, and opportunities for improved transportation performance.
- Coordinate ad-hoc pickups, returns, and 3rd Party shipments as required.
- Classify and assign HTS codes to new products.
- Create Export customer certificates / documents as required,
- Work with freight forwarders and customs brokers to clear international import shipments.
What you will need:
- 4+ Years Transportation or Logistics Experience
- Demonstrates clear, professional, and respectful verbal and written communication in all interactions, consistent with an inclusive work environment.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient level experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to work well in a fast-faced environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of transportation terms and regulations.

Compensation:
The compensation range for this U.S.-based position is $62,000 - $69,000 annually.
Our compensation range reflects our good faith estimate of what an ideal candidate can expect, but final agreed-upon compensation will always be based on the individual candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related or market factors that may prove relevant during the hiring process.
