The Senior Compensation and Benefits Analyst is responsible for developing, designing, and implementing innovative and market-driven benefit and compensation programs that drive employee engagement, align with the financial and strategic goals of the organization, and differentiate Sloan in the market.

 

Compensation

  • Research, recommend, design and implement an innovative, market-driven and cost-effective compensation philosophy and structure to meet strategic, financial, and employee engagement goals, and to differentiate Sloan in the market.

  • Maintain the integrity of the overall job structure, including position descriptions, overall salary administration, and competency approach.

  • Partner with HR and managers to create meaningful job documentation that supports career growth within the organization.

  • Create and maintain guidelines for internal job changes.

  • Create and maintain the annual compensation structure and relevant changes.

  • Partner with leadership in the annual merit review and planning process for the company's base salary and incentive pay programs.

  • Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis, providing strategic compensation recommendations to ensure pay equity and competitiveness.

  • Build and maintain relationships with all levels of management within the organization.

  • Participate in the plan design, documentation, and reporting of sales and annual incentive plans.

 

Benefits

  • Research, recommend, design, and implement innovative, market-driven, and cost-effective benefit and wellness programs to meet strategic, financial, and employee engagement goals and to differentiate Sloan in the market.

  • Provides guidance and support to employees, as the subject matter expert on benefit plan issues and questions.

  • Oversee and assist in the completion of compliance and reporting requirements.

  • Leads the annual open enrollment meetings and planning. Oversees the benefit enrollment process, including employee meetings. Creates benefit communications and documents.

  • Manages the online employee portal setup and data integrity.

  • Assist leadership with annual renewals and final contract review.

  • Partner with HR team members and leadership to ensure all benefit initiatives and programs align to the HR business plan and Company strategy.

 

Compensation and Benefits

  • Identify opportunities to optimize owned processes, programs, procedures, and functions.

  • Manage and optimize vendor partner relationships.

  • Review and analyze program costs. Prepares and analyzes compensation and benefits reports, including HR Metrics. Reviews data and presents it in an effective way to tell the story.

  • Serve on department or enterprise project teams.

  • Maintain knowledge of government regulations, benefit and compensation program trends, and best practices among similar organizations.

  • Ensures compliance of benefits and compensation plans with federal and state laws, including IRS and DOL regulations.

  • Documents policies and procedures for assigned compensation and benefits processes (SOPs).

 

Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5+ years related Benefits/Compensation and/or Human Resources Generalist experience including experience as a Compensation and Benefits Analyst

  • HR practices and methodologies including, benefits administration, designing compensation plans; base, merit, and incentive pay programs; salary benchmarking and market analysis; and application of applicable laws and regulations.

  • Research and development of benefits, compensation, or human resources-related programs and policies reflecting industry trends, standards, and best practices.

  • Working knowledge of benefits and HRIS platforms.  Prior experience with bswift, SAP, SuccessFactors, and ADP preferred.

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
