Sloan is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst, based in our corporate headquarters located in Franklin Park, IL. The Senior Financial Analyst is an integral part of the finance team involved in multiple areas including: financial planning, reporting, & analysis, the admiration and accuracy of sales and rebate payments to sales representatives and customers, treasury and cash management services, and accounting for captive insurance company. This position will have a signifcant role in our budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes in addition to being critical resource to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of commission and rebate payments made on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Play a key role in the annual and quarterly business planning and forecasting processes involving P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow. Interact and assist various departments as needed during the planning and forecasting cycles. Assist with the implementation and administration of next generation planning tool SAP Analytics/Planning. Create, modify, and/or run financial reports, metrics, and dashboards to help support the needs of the business.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of commissions and rebates paid on monthly, quarterly, annual basis. Assist with the quarterly commission bonus calculations and reporting to Sales Reps. Assist in the processing and validation of transfer files received from customers into Vistex commission system. Properly maintain and validate master data in Vistex/SAP to ensure accuracy of commissions and rebates. Interact with customers and sales team to ensure reports are received timely.
- Reporting responsibilities on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis including but not limited to: financial statements, G&A reports, monthly commission reporting, buying group reports, quarterly bonus commission reports, and timely verbal/written responses to reps and customers regarding inquiries.
- Monthly reconciliation of rebate and commission accounts. Prepare, review, and evaluate transactional data and trend analysis on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to ensure accuracy of rebate/commission payments and balance sheet positions.
- Interact with senior leadership and sales team by providing analysis and insight into our commission and rebate programs to help evaluate efficacy of these agreements.
- Assist with the treasury and/or cash management services on a global basis as needed which may include: daily cash reporting, accounting entries to support cash activities, preparing and maintaining 13 week cash flow projections, and maintaining interest payments and schedules.
- Engage and contribute to continuous improvement within the finance department. This may include: financial reporting and analysis, planning and forecasting, efficiency improvements utilizing technology, rebate and/or commission changes, treasury services changes.
- Assist with the accounting and audit work needed for a single member captive insurance company including: monthly journal entries, claims reporting, investment accounting, interacting and providing information to auditors and actuaries, and providing CFO with information as requested.
- As needed, assist the CFO and Director with mergers, acquisitions, strategic alliances and new market expansion. This may include target identification, financial analysis including discount cash flow analysis and ROI calculation, developing negotiation strategy and evaluating efficient tax structure.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ Years Accounting / Finance Experience
- Strong proficiency in Excel Adept at manipulating and processing data
- Detail and process driven to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
- SAP Analytics Cloud SAP experience
