The Senior Accounting Manager is responsiblfor maintaining and updating the organizations accounting systems on a global basis, including the general ledger, key accounting processes including A/P, A/R. This includes reporting and consolidating financial results on a global basis. This position will also lead and manage all international audits including UK, India and China and perform in depth financial analysis and provide insights into the company’s performance. The position is responsible for all technical accounting issues.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for accuracy of all company’s accounting records as well for creating and documenting key accounting processes and ensuring adherence to them.  Maintains the integrity of all general ledger account set-up as well as cost centers.
  • Prepares monthly consolidated financial statements to include Comparative Balance sheet, Income statement, Cash Flow and EDITDA including key insights and identifying key trends.
  • Manages the global account reconciliations and analysis process for both Balance Sheet & Income Statement accounts.
  • Maintains all fixed assets and CIP records. Oversees the ION process including records for new & existing CAPEX purchases. Prepares fixed asset schedules for Book & Tax filings as well as for risk management.
  • Supports the global tax compliance process. Collaborates with Deloitte Audit and prepares annuafiles & supporting documentation. Manages the sales and use tax process involving 40 states and several hundred tax returns.
  • Responsible for all accounting research including staying current with new FASB pronouncements.  Provides accounting guidance to the business as issues arise.
  • Prepares monthly department reports and interacts with C-suite executives to explain results and address questions and issues.
  • Responsible for managing supporting schedules for the budget, yearend audit, and tax compliance processes.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountinor related field.
  • CPA required
  • At least 8 years of general accounting work experience, and 3 years in a management level role.
  • Public Accounting experience a plus
  • Experience in international accounting a plus
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and demonstrated capability of having performed effective accounting research.                                                                                                                 ·
  • Skillrequired: Bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, strong problem solving, time management, accounting technical research, detail orientation.
  • Abilities requiredability to organize and prioritize workability to automate work processesability to prioritize and meet deadlines, ability to creatspreads sheetsability to work accuratelunder deadline pressureability to work under moderate supervision using established guidelines and procedures. Ability to supervise other professionaclerical staff.
  • Strong Experience using an automated accounting systems, Excel, and Word is requiredSAP experience preferred.
