The Quality Inspector C performs duties to inspect in process production, parts, sub-assemblies, finished products in accordance with standard procedures. Other duties include performing process auditing duties as assigned, work from inspection and quality procedures, business system software, SPC and machine capability programs, bills of material, prints, surveillance logs and instructions. All roles provide promotional opportunity within the company. Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:


1. Perform a variety of inspection activities involving machinery, polishing, plating,

assembling and assembly packing operations.

2. Check and approve first piece parts for new setups as required.

3. Make ordinary gauging setups using fixtures or gauges provided or following setup

by others on more complicated work.

4. Check ECNs to ensure latest revision is in place and request latest print as needed.

5. Review specific operation quality problems and work with the Quality Engineer and

Manufacturing Engineering as needed to develop corrective action.

6. Verify that processes are followed according to established procedures.

7. Conduct machine and process capability analysis under the supervision of the Quality Engineer.

8. Perform scheduled audits and 100% inspections as assigned.

9. Responsible for notifying setter, supervisor, and quality engineer of excessive defects

and jobs running out-of-specification and ensure corrective action taken.

10. Maintain inspection records and assist in preparation of reports utilizing computer

system software as required.

11. Perform audit and calibrate inspection equipment and tools as required

12. Verify and ensure required components are provided.

13. Use dial indicators, dial calipers, micrometers, scales, fixed gauges, personal computer, comparator, microscope, profilometer, torque wrenches, calculator, special inspection equipment, measuring and hand tools.

14. Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.

15. Perform other related duties as assigned.
