Our Planner/Scheduler is responsible for creating, executing, and monitoring master schedules for Sloan’s production lines. This includes supporting Lean initiatives, and using SAP to review capacity, review demand, and create planned/process orders.


In this role you will also work with manufacturing and distribution through continuous improvement projects to drive efficiency. You will develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal customers and have regular interaction with all levels across multiple organizations.

 

Specific responsibilities include

  • Monitors available load against current available capacity, production lead time, and generates a detailed progress report
  • Monitor schedule adherence by comparing plant to actual
  • Works with production departments to determine overtime requirements to meet production timelines.
  • Level-load production lines to smooth demand spikes and seasonal impacts.
  • Coordinates product flow through the entire manufacturing facility.
  • Analyze each stage of the production process to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Serve as a liaison between customer service personnel and manufacturing/purchasing and provide practical promise dates for large orders
  • Measure, analyze, root cause past due orders
  • Develop and report KPI’s
  • Forecast demand to establish safety stocks
  • Monitor FGI inventory levels
  • Lead weekly scheduling meetings and gain consensus on schedules
  • Lead monthly planning and inventory meeting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field
  • 2 or more years of Supply Chain experience
  • Experience working with SAP desired
  • Good communication skills are essential
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, Vlookups, etc.)
  • Statistics and variation math skills
  • APICS certification a plus
