Sloan is looking to hire a Business Systems Manager to join our team at our corporate headquarters based out of Franklin Park, IL.  The Business Systems Manager provides leadership and support for the development of enterprise business systems that support efficient and effective business processes. Interacts directly and self-sufficiently with user management, IT Management, and the IT technical staff to identify needs and create a business case in support of strategic and tactical plans.  Works with the IT Management, business stake holders, and process experts to lead the effort for all Business Systems project activities and continuous improvement initiatives.



  • Creates business processes via flow charts and similar tools to ensure they are defined for maximum optimization. Reengineers business processes, using complex systems such as SAP, SuccessFactors, Kronos for competitive advantage
  • Collaborates with key business stake holders on position paper, business case, and benefits case to ensure investments in resources and technology achieve both business goals and stated benefits.
  • Educates and train users of systems (e.g., SAP, SuccessFactors, Kronos) on the value of Enterprise Resource Planning, eCommerce, and similar types of systems.  Helps lead the management staff on the evolution of management, decision support, and transaction systems and how these relate to business process design and redesign.
  • Leads the effort to develop application system security across all areas of the business.  Accountable to ensure that application security is according to the needs of the business and that access by those that are not authorized is prohibited.
  • Manages vendor/partner relations as well as license and contractual agreement analysis to ensure the needs of the business are met in a cost-effective manner.
  • Maintain and update IT process documentation. Work with internal and external development and consulting resources to meet business objectives.    



  • Bachelor of Science. degree in Computer Science or a degree in Business Administration is required.  A Master’s degree in computer science and industry certifications in IT, change management, and business disciplines or equivalent is highly desirable.  
  • 5 or more years in a HRIS/Payroll application management, SAP HR (functional), SuccessFactors and Kronos time and attendance. Previous support experience with ADP payroll preferable.
  • Must have strong analytical abilities, written and verbal communications skills (English) and the ability to collaborate with management and other professionals, both in IT and business. Strong willingness to learn and stay current on latest technology and tools, especially  SAP and Kronos Cloud offerings
  • The position requires understanding of user operation and how individual tasks fit into an overall process.  It requires the ability to communicate clearly with the business customers and other team members. The incumbent should be well versed in the typical functional areas of a manufacturing company.  The incumbent must possess superior management skills to provide leadership and organization to IT Business Systems projects. The incumbent must have a detailed understanding of enterprise systems including the ability to configure the system in at least one major area of the business (e.g., HR, Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, Quality, and Engineering)
  • The incumbent must have a deep knowledge of business case development – including the development of return on investment (ROI) scenarios.
  • The incumbent must have knowledge of critical path project management techniques and be able to make significant contributions to project planning activities developed in conjunction with IT Management. This position requires a minimum of five years hands-on enterprise systems experience with at least one full life-cycle implementation experience, preferably with SAP, SuccessFactors, Kronos.  Ideally, the incumbent’s previous position would be IT Business Systems Analysts with previous experience in business in a user discipline (e.g., Systems Manager, Product Manager, and Engineer)
