Sloan Application Engineers work in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction throughout all stages of the sales process.  In this role you will become the go to person for Sloan product application providing unbiased implementation of company policies and procedures.  Your ability to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle is critical to the sales process. 


Application Engineers are the primary technical resource for the field sales force and are responsible for actively driving and managing projects to completion which may include site assessments, product selection, installation oversight, product training, etc. Application Engineers provide guidance, direction and training, both remote and onsite, to Sloan's regional sales managers, manufacturing rep network, customers, contractors, engineers and wholesalers.  This role also handles overflow calls for Technical Support when not engaged in field work.



  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in advanced troubleshooting methods and field quality assessment.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of service and installation processes.
  • Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, schematics and wiring diagrams to install, disassemble, assemble and repair product.
  • Ability to read and interpret plumbing system drawings
  • General knowledge of plumbing control systems
  • Knowledge of and experience with developing testing/audting programs, including FMEA, 8D, Design of Experiments.
  • Proven problem-solving skills using quality improvement tools and facilitation corrective and preventative action.
  • Sound business acumen and understanding of when to escalate and engage subject knowledge experts and mitigate risk
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
