We have an amazing opportunity and opening for a Sr. Compensation and Benefits Analyst. This role is a hybrid role with an expectation to report to our Chicago West Loop Location as their primary location and report to our Head Quarters in Franklin Park up to twice a month.  The Sr. Compensation and Benefits Analyst will utilize their skills to administer and create programs to attract, retain, and motivate employees across the globe by delivering future-focused, market-driven, equitable, compliant, and scalable total rewards programs. This individual is a key contributor to the development, implementation, compliance, communication, education, and administration of total rewards programs across the organization. The Senior Analyst will complete complex tasks, project planning and management, and coordination with internal and external business partners. This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone who is self-directed, a strong collaborator, a critical problem solver, and who enjoys working on a wide breadth of responsibilities.

 

Jobs and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and administer total rewards programs to attract, engage, and retain employees. Ensure programs are legally compliant, competitive in the market, cost-effective, and meaningful to the employees. Create policies for total rewards programs. Research topics, develop content, and partner with leadership and legal for approval and implementation.
  • Perform detailed job analysis and benchmarking to prepare recommendations on job offers, promotions, salary grades, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Establishes and administers market competitive and equitable base pay structures.
  • Partner with leadership to review and address pay equity concerns providing recommendations for resolution. Partner with Finance and Payroll in required pay equity compliance reporting.
  • Partner in the development and administration of management and sales incentive programs. This includes but is not limited to; program design, verifying data for payout calculations, providing payout data presentations for leadership, coordinating payouts with payroll, and creating incentive plans and payout documentation for eligible participants.
  • Collaborate with HR, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and people leaders to keep job descriptions up-to-date and ensure they align with market and survey job matches
  • Spearheads the annual merit increase process involving developing guidelines, configuring the Compensation module, reviewing budgets, and meeting payroll deadlines.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and delivery of engaging well-being programs and activities. Responsible for the creation of program content and communications, and determining and delivery of program tools or rewards.
  • Key team member supporting the annual open enrollment process including; Participating in the development of plan design reviews and recommendations. Analyze and document changes to current policies, processes, and communication due to plan design changes. Enrollment system configuration and testing, ensuring all portal content is reflective of the most current information. Develop all annual enrollment communication materials. Benefit plan overview booklets, emails, flyers, posters, enrollment meeting presentations, etc. Assist employees with benefit questions. Partner with employees to process their annual enrollments.
  • Prepare presentations on compensation and benefits trends, policies, processes, and recommendations for all levels of employees.
  • Partner with benefit brokers, advisors, and insurance carriers to assist employees to resolve benefit plan or claim questions.
  • Proactively identify process improvements to increase efficiencies and productivity in total rewards program administration.
  • Mentor and partner with other members of the team as the subject matter expert on the total rewards programs for the Company.
  • Participate in total rewards program surveys.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ Years Experience administering or developing employee benefit plans and communications. Comprehensive knowledge of employee benefit programs and regulations including; health and welfare, well-being, retirement, leaves of absence, ERISA, HIPAA, IRS, etc. (Required)
  • 3+ Years Experience developing and administering compensation and rewards programs; base pay, variable pay, pay equity, and developing policies, and processes for compliance and organizational success. Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of salary administration practices including; job analysis, benchmarking, pay equity analysis, pay structure development, incentive plan design, reporting, and other compensation or variable pay techniques. (Required)
  • Experience working with Success Factors Compensation and Variable Pay modules, preferred.
  • Experience working with bSwift or other benefit enrollment software products, preferred.
  • Experience creating professional presentations for senior leadership review and approval.
  • Experience writing communications on compensation and benefits which are easy to comprehend for all levels of employees.
  • Experience working with Excel formulas and tables.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Aptitude to streamline processes for improvements in time and or product output.
  • Experience with change management.
  • Critical thinking and analytical proficiency.
  • Actively identifies problems and opportunities for change and implements solutions where appropriate.
  • Manufacturing Industry experience.
