Sloan is searching for a Hybrid Senior Compensation Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role requires working on-site three days a week at our Chicago Fulton Market office, with occasional travel to our Franklin Park, IL office for training and meetings. The Senior Compensation Analyst will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating compensation programs that help Sloan attract, retain, and engage qualified employees as part of our business strategy. This position partners with HR and business leaders to make effective pay decisions that support employee engagement, while adhering to compensation policies and budgetary guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate new and existing jobs to external market data and review internal equity to remain competitive and meet ever-changing organizational and market dynamics.
- Lead the annual merit increase process for the organization. This includes managing the process with the compensation planners in the organization, developing budget scenarios supporting pay-for-performance, and configuring and testing the compensation module in the HR system.
- Partner with HR leadership on incentive plans and reward/recognition program development and administration.
- Work with managers to write job descriptions; ensuring the job duties, qualifications, knowledge, abilities, and skills align with organizational needs.
- Prepare a cost impact analysis for changes to the salary structures and employee pay for the annual budget process.
- Develop policies and communicate changes to compensation programs to increase awareness and understanding of pay practices across the organization.
- Partner with HR and managers on compensation-related issues.
- Review compensation-related laws and regulations, updating policies and practices to ensure Sloan complies in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years experience working in compensation evaluating and administering base pay and incentive programs including:
- Experience developing policies, processes, and communications on compensation, recognition, and rewards programs which are easy to comprehend for all levels of employees.
- Experience in benchmarking, pay-equity analysis, salary structure development, and variable pay modeling.
- Experience working with Excel formulas and tables.
- High level of attention to details and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with PayFactors.
- Experience working with Success Factors Compensation and Variable Pay modules.
- Experience working with UK, India, and Mexico pay practices.

Our compensation range reflects our good faith estimate of what an ideal candidate can expect, but final agreed upon compensation will always be based on the individual candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related or market factors that may prove relevant during the hiring process.
The compensation range for this U.S.-based position is $103,500 - $115,000 annually.
