Sloan is looking for a Hybrid Senior Compensation Analyst to join our team. This is a hybrid role, that will involve working on-site three 3 days a week in our Chicago Fulton Market office. The Senior Compensation Analyst's primary responsibilities are to assist in developing, implementing, and administering compensation plans to attract, retain, and engage employees. This role will also serve as an internal compensation consultant. The Senior Compensation Analyst will help ensure that our compensation programs remain competitive and align with our business strategies by providing vital data and insights to partners and leaders across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Work with cross-functional partners on designing, implementing, and administering wage structures, incentives, and rewards programs to meet compliance regulations and support organizational goals.
- Conduct job evaluations for all levels (non-exempt, exempt, managerial and executive level roles).
- Conduct Pay Equity reviews to ensure fairness in compensation across all roles and responsibilities.
- Recommend job classifications and manages the integrity across the entire population to ensure compensation practices comply with current regulations in all markets.
- Conduct annual benchmarking cycle; analyzes and assesses market data, recommending changes to wage structures based on industry trends, and best practices to create market competitive programs.
- Lead the annual merit increase process for the organization. This includes managing the process with the compensation planners in the organization, developing budget scenarios supporting pay-for-performance, and configuring and testing the compensation module in the HR system.
- Support people leaders with compensation-related issues and work closely with Talent Acquisition in the offer process.
- Partner with leadership on incentive and reward/recognition program development and administration.
- Build exceptional relationships with managers of all organizational levels to review and understand the job functions and department organizations.
- Prepare necessary presentations, scorecards, trends, and graphical illustrations for leadership reviews of compensation programs.
- Create and support communication and change management efforts for compensation programs to increase understanding across the organization.
- Participate in industry surveys in conjunction with compensation leadership to support competitive analysis of Sloan''s compensation programs.
- Ensure compliance with related laws, rules and regulations as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of government regulations, compensation program trends, and prevailing practices among similar organizations.
- Ensure compliance of compensation administration with federal and state laws, including IRS and DOL regulations.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 3+ years experience working in compensation evaluating and administering base pay and inventive programs.
- Ability to use discretion when working with confidential information.
- Actively identifies problems and opportunities for change and implements solutions where appropriate.
- Demonstrates clear, professional, and respectful verbal and written communication in all interactions, consistent with an inclusive work environment.
- Excellent analytical skills and an aptitude for numbers.
- Experience working with Excel formulas and tables.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to create dynamic tools and models to interpret and analyze data.
- Demonstrate an ability and aptitude to read and analyze complex written material, apply subjective and objective standards of review to that material based upon thoughtful analysis and render an appropriate opinion on compensation and/or job duties/descriptions.
- Experience developing policies, processes, and communications on compensation, recognition, and rewards programs which are easy to comprehend for all levels employees.
- Experience in benchmarking, pay-equity analysis, salary structure development, and variable pay modeling.
- Experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CCP
- PHR/SPHR
- Flexible and adaptive to changing business needs.
- Manufacturing Industry experience.
- Experience with PayFactors.
- Experience with Success Factors Compensation and Variable Pay modules.
- Experience working with UK, India, and Mexico pay practices.
- The ability to anticipate the implications and consequences of situations and take appropriate action to be prepared for possible contingencies.
