About the Role:
We are hiring for an Associate Product Line Manager that can be based out of our downtown Chicago or Franklin Park offices. This role will report to the Director of Product Management. The Associate Product Line Manager will be responsible for supporting and collaborating product planning and marketing of product category (insert product name here for recruiting purposes). They will also ensure the success of product category through product lifecycle management, working closely with Product Management and Engineering to deliver profitable products, and participate in cross functional teams to introduce new products to the marketplace. This role will also collaborate with sales, quality, customer service, technical support and regulatory teams to ensure customer needs are met. Depending on product category, they will also be responsible for driving profitable revenue that may range from $5 million to $100 million in revenue.
What you'll do:
- Executes project deliverables developed with cross functional teams to ensure on time launch of innovative world class products.
- Conducts and leverages voice of the customer (VOC), customer/sales analysis, competitive analysis, industry insights, technology trends and other external influences. Reports on product performance, customer and market trends relating to product to management.
- Manages product forecasts for existing portfolio of products and new product introductions; ensuring stakeholder and leadership visibility
- Identifies initiatives with marketing, engineering and operations for maintenance of product line and cost reductions
- Achieve financial goals relating (P&L responsibility for the line up to gross margin level) to product revenue and margin that are aligned with the Company overarching financial goals; while managing expense budget. Develop strategic plans for product and vertical market category.
- Establishes pricing strategies to meet revenue and profitability goals.
- Develops and implements marketing programs, promotions, sales support and communications material to support efforts in driving product demand. Analyze and report the success/effectiveness of programs.
- Creates and provides training to Sales team both virtually and in person on new products and supports sales team on key national account.
- Works collaboratively with engineering, finance, operations and supply chain to drive costs out
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Who you are:
- Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering or related field
- 6+ Years Relevant Experience
- Business travel approximately 10-20%
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience and ability to effectively work and collaborate in a cross-functional team environment
- Strong analytical skills with understanding of basic business financials
- Strong decision-making ability and the ability to work in and build a team environment
- Strong technical background and understanding
A plus, but not required:
- Experience in business to business (B2B) specification and sales process in multi-step distribution environment
- Experience in stage-gate product development process and product launches

Compensation: The compensation range for this U.S.-based position is $92,925-$103,250 annually.
This position is eligible to participate in the company incentive plan. The terms and conditions of the company incentive plan will be provided to plan participants on an annual basis. Our compensation range reflects our good faith estimate of what an ideal candidate can expect, but final agreed upon compensation will always be based on the individual candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related or market factors that may prove relevant during the hiring process.
