Sloan is seeking to hire a Foundry Supervisor to join our team in Augusta, AR.  The Foundry Supervisor will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the effective utilization of people, materials, equipment, and manufacturing processes within a department to meet safety, production schedule, quality, inventory, cost, and delivery objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with plant management to establish item specific process parameters and to ensure parameters are implemented. 
  • Plan, organize and assign work to department personnel, based on priority and individual capability. Responsible for training of employees in proper methods. 
  • Monitor production activities to ensure planned schedules and product quality standards are achieved.  
  • Investigate a variety of complex problems involving interrelated conditions and take actions to implement adjustments to process as necessary to maintain product quality. 
  • Ensure operation compliance with prescribed safety and environmental requirements. 
  • Ensure tooling, raw material and supplies are available to meet scheduled production. 
  • Prepare and direct the preparation of production reports and review for completeness and accuracy. 
  • Recommend preventative maintenance activities aimed at enhancing safety, efficiency, quality, and costs. 
  • Perform continuous improvement activities aimed at enhancing safety, efficiency, quality, and costs. 

 

Requirements:

  • 1+ Years of experience in a foundry, manufacturing environment or related education
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of material, tooling, machine tools and manufacturing process
  • Proficient in use of computer applications - Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of safety management process
