We have an immediate opening for a Materials Manager in our Augusta, AR Foundry.  In this role, you will be responsible for the purchasing, planning, inventory, shipping, and receiving functions.  You will manage supplier relationships, issue purchase orders, and ensure the right quantity of material arrives on time to support production needs.  You will also be a key partner with the production team to provide input to schedules and meeting customer requirements.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Source products and execute cost savings
  • Work with quality to review, prioritize, and disposition parts needing inspection or rejected.
  • Identify issues and perform root cause analysis to implement solutions and preventative measures.
  • Drive process improvements to improve quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Analyze cycle counts to ensure company goals are met
  • Execute materials tasks on ECN and NPDI projects.
  • Create weekly production schedule and coordinate with production.
  • Manage stockroom, shipping, and receiving personnel and processes.
  • Analyze purchasing requirements and issue purchase orders to replenish material.
  • Oversee all material transaction in SAP (backflushing, receipts, shipments, etc.)
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1+ Years Supervisory experience
  • 5+ Years Materials experience
  • Ability to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within established time frames.
  • Ability to problem solve with comfort in the face of ambiguity with strong attention to details, process, and deadlines
  • Ability to work with Excel using formulas and tables.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to network, influence, inspire and collaborate with all levels of management, both internally and externally

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APICS Certification
  • Forklift License/Certification
  • General experience working with SAP ERP Business System.
