Sloan has an opening for a Test Technician in our Andover, MA facility.  In this role you will perform a variety of hydraulic plumbing tests and basic mechanical testing.  You will also build and test prototypes and pre-production units to engineering specifications utilizing a variety of electronic instrumentation. 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Aid Test Engineer's in building of mechanical and electrical test fixtures
  • Technical support to R&D efforts Preferred ability to work on PCB programming, testing and debugging.
  • Maintain operation and documentation of all of the test equipment and the wring or updating of testing procedures
  • Maintain engineering labs
  • Oversee and aide technicians
  • Schedule, build and test prototype when needed

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree
  • 2+ Years relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Ability to communicate with Engineers and others other internal groups on a regular basis.
  • Ability to safely maneuver large bulk fixtures in excess of 50 lbs.
  • Able to work alone and assist on various projects at the same time.
  • Displayed familiarity and safe use of small tools and drill presses as well as high pressure and high flow testing equipment.
  • Displayed familiarity and use of computers and software such as Microsoft Office and Data Acquisition software such as Lab View.
  • Perform basic plumbing installations, have a basic plumbing knowledge, basic Geometry and a basic working knowledge of flushometer
  • Preferred ability to work on PCB programming, testing and debugging
