The Shipper/Receiver/ Inventory Control is responsible for administrative and clerical functions of the facility supporting the Materials Manager.  Also, this position is responsible for the physical actions required to receive, ship, and maintain inventory levels.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Ship finished goods and other items as required, including international shipments.  This includes doing Bills Of Ladings, verifying material, packing material for shipment and SAP transactions.
  • Process SAP business system transactions daily to support business including production, receiving, and shipping transactions.
  • Verify, process, and put away incoming purchase orders.
  • When receiving LTL shipments confirm skid – box counts
  •  Refill production line
  • For parts that go through inspection and have been approved; transact the parts to stockroom location in SAP and move to stocking location.
  • Perform cycle counts and research discrepancies. 
  • Kit for engineering builds and low volume builds as needed.
  • Keep stock room area organized and clean.This includes stock area, loading dock, and loading bay area (including snow removal if needed).
  • Maintain inventory for expensed items. Check inventory of expensed parts weekly.  Issue parts as required in SAP.  
  • When Material Manager is on PTO, backflush finished goods in SAP, release transfer orders to ship, work with Material Analysts on component parts that need to be ordered. 
  • Work with Materials Manager to file damage claims with carriers when needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.



  • Experience working in shipping and receiving departments and warehouses
  • Understanding of shipping, procedures for LTL, international shipments, and small package shipping.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Minimum of 6 months of forklift experience
  • Understanding of material management including cycle counting, purchase orders, first in first out procedures, shipping.
  • Able to work overtime if needed
  • High school degree required.
  • Detail oriented
  • Positive attitude and customer focused
  • Knowledge of Excel, a plus.
  • Experience with SAP a plus
