About the Role:
The Quality Engineer II is located at our Andover, MA office reporting to the Vice President of Global Quality Assurance. The Quality Assurance Engineer II's responsibilities include providing Quality Engineering support to Manufacturing, Sourcing, Operations, Engineering and Service departments at Andover. The Quality Engineer is also responsible for assuring that processes, products and procedures demonstrate conformance and compliance with company standards, specifications and requirements. What you'll do:
- Monitors and maintains quality systems, testing and inspection activities designed to assure that products, processes and services confirm and comply to corporate, state, federal and regulatory requirements, standards and practices.
- Coordinates, facilitates, conducts and documents problem solving efforts to correct or improve internal products, processes and services. Performs internal auditing of procedures.
- Assists and provides technical expertise for qualifying, developing, certifying and assisting both internal and external suppliers and vendors.
- Assists in the development and implementation of internal and external corrective actions designed to improve, correct or maintain products, processes and service standards, specifications and requirements.
- Applies Advanced Product Quality Planning techniques such as Failure Mode Effects Analysis, control plans and Measurement System Analysis to evaluate the producibility of new products and stability of production processes.
- Utilizes statistical data to identify and resolve problems and leads problem solving teams that focus on problem prevention and variance reduction.
- Maintains and reviews quality system records, documents and data. Makes recommendations for improvements and changes to product, processes or systems based on review of this information.
- Creates, modifies and implements standard work and inspection methods. Makes recommendations for new equipment to assure that new product characteristics are properly measured and assessed. Maintains gage calibration system to support measurement needs in production and QA.
- May provide work direction for Inspectors, Technicians and employees assigned to the Quality function.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
What we are looking for:
- Master's Degree
- 1+ Years Relevant Experience
- Knowledge of GD&T tolerancing
- Knowledge of how to use all hard gaging
- Working background in ISO 9001 company environment
- Write Procedures and work instructions
A plus, but not required:
- ASQ Certification
- Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB)
- Minitab - Data collection and charting
- SAP Experience

Compensation: The compensation range for this U.S.-based position is $92,400 - $138,600 annually. The terms and conditions of the company incentive plan will be provided to plan participants on an annual basis. Our compensation range reflects our good faith estimate of what an ideal candidate can expect, but final agreed upon compensation will always be based on the individual candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related or market factors that may prove relevant during the hiring process.
