We have an immediate need for an IoT Product Line Manager at our Corporate Headquarters in Franklin Park, IL. This position is responsible for product planning and marketing for Smart Management Systems (SMS) or IoT for the commercial restroom. Work with sales team, channel partners, architects/engineers, facility managers, building owners and third party partners to understand the unmet needs and challenges of connected buildings. Lead cross functional team to develop total solution, drive product direction and roadmap.  Create the product vision, business case, profitability and drive demand for new IoT solutions.




  • Defines, collaborates and executes product strategy and roadmap for IoT; includes new product development opportunity assessments and product enhancement recommendations and SKU rationalization.
  • Serves as voice of the customer for product category and apply to the company's ability to meet or exceed customer satisfaction goals. Work with customers and building management system partners to identify unsolved problems in the market. Propose innovative product and solutions that leverage organization's competence. Develop sales plans with sales team and channel partners and helps execute the sales plan
  • Establishes pricing strategies to meet revenue and profitability goals. Achieve financial goals relating to product revenue and margin that are aligned with the Company overarching financial goals; while managing expense budget.
  • Establishes product forecast and relevant KPI for existing portfolio of products and new product introductions; ensuring stakeholder and leadership buy-in
  • Develops core positioning and messaging for product(s) that align with company Brand and positioning strategy.
  • Develops and implements marketing programs, promotions, sales support and communications material to support efforts in driving product demand. Analyze and report the success/effectiveness of programs
  • Assess and investigate different IoT technologies (both inside and outside the company) and consider how they might be applied to solve a given market problem or to add to a current product offering. Identifies third party Building Management Systems (BMS) partners and implementation experts to help execute the product roadmap and integrate technology solution with the existing and new products under development. Collaborates with engineering team on technology development.   • Perform objective analysis of potential market opportunity to provide a basis for investment and measure actual results. Create business plan for new product and solutions.
  • Identify competitive offerings in the market. Review their niche, approach, and success in the market. Assess their strengths and weakness. Evaluate the presence and relative importance of key product features.




Any equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job, will be considered.


  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree required. (Preferred Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or related field).
    • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years of experience in product management or business development in building products management system or IoT development and implementation in industrial or commercial application.

    • Open to travel 30-40% throughout North America primarily, but also globally.


Preferred Criterion:


  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Working knowledge of IoT technology, wireless communication, cloud based solution.
  • Experience in developing after sales support or service business model. Focus on IoT as service option.
