We have an immediate need for a Manufacturing Engineer III at Sloan's global headquarters in Franklin Park, IL. This position performs functions to develop, maintain, and specify manufacturing processesses to manufacture the company product lines on an economical and efficient basis. 


  • Determine and establish overall manufacturing engineering requirements for items such as but not limited to machinery, equipment, tooling, manufacturing methods and processes, and routings.
  • Support shop floor personnel in trouble-shooting process and/or quality problems.
  • Prepare routings, process sheets, work instructions, and process drawings as required and establish feeds, speeds, cycle times and other operating parameters for all type of equipment.
  • Recommend, justify, and implement the installation of new equipment and processes.
  • Analyze, review, and optimize existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency using LEAN manufacturing techniques.
  • Assist in the design of products to develop "Design for Manufacturing" parts and processes.
  • Identify and implement cost reductions through plant manufacturing operations.
  • Work on various CNC equipment.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field of study (Mechanical/Mfg/Industrial Technology).
  • A minimum of eight years of industry related experience with manufacturing technologies, processes, methods, machining, assembly and company operations, product lines and practices or equivalent.
  • Must possess very strong analytical abilities, written and verbal comunications skills (English), and the ability to collaborate with coworkers, shop personnel, and outside vendors. 
  • Must have experience using the Lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Be familiar with CNC programming.


Preferred Criterion:

  • Use of SAP, Pro E, Microsoft Windows, AutoCad.
  • CNC programing.
